That being said, I completely agree with Tambellini`s apparent position. Let`s hope some deadwood gets shipped and the Oilers get something reasonable for Hemsky.
Like Kampfer and the 2012 1st for Hemsky! |

Have any prospects that don't need a stool to reach the urinal? |

Tambs also said they weren't expecting to do anything on July 1.
Not saying that he's lying but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make more of a splash than those quotes imply. |

Ales Hemsky. If healthy I can't see how he stays in Edmonton
Cam Barker. I can see him being thrown in with Hemsky. I think it was Will Fraser on the morning show that suggested DET take him for depth as you need 8-9 d-man come playoff time.
Darcy Hordichuk. I can't see anyone taking him. Fighters don't get much playoff time and numerous once cleared waivers this year.
Theo Peckham. Same as Barker although I can see a lot of teams taking a chance on him by himself do to physical play.
Eric Belanger. Coach loves him not going anywhere.
Nikolai Khabibulin. I doubt he goes anywhere.
Maybe Linus Omark. Doubtful unless it's in a package. Omark himself isn't worth enough to just trade.
Maybe Lennart Petrell. I could see teams wanting him. Return probably not high, but is he apart of the future?
One guy you didn't list. Ben Eager. I don't think the Oil deal him, but there should be some interest.

Did he? I thought he said he wasn't going to do anything major I.E. go after Richards. I thought depth was always in the cards. |

I've heard Chicago has interest in Khabibulin and the Canucks have interest in Petrell. Everyone is apparently interested in Hemsky, but the offers the Oilers are receiving are less than spectacular. As for Hemsky re-signing, he apparently wants three years minimum at $5mil per. So we'll be seeing you, Ales.
Still think LA and Boston are the best bets as the place Ales ends up.
If Hemsky goes, I'm thinking Omark doesn't. They'll need someone to fill his spot, and he's a good stop gap for the rest of this season.
I believe the Rangers would bite on Peckham. If so, Cam Barker stays as the #7 guy. The Oilers won't qualify him in the Summer, so Barker will be gone next season.
I think you're likely right about Belanger staying. Whatever with that. Not sure there is a market for Hordichuk either.
If I'm right about this, someone needs to buy me a hero cookie. |

Given the current CBA I just can't see how Bulin to CHI makes any sense.
I agree on Omark. If Hemsky is dealt you have to call him up and give him the chance. At the very least you need to find out if you need to find a top 6 player this off-season. I'd move 2 of Barker, Peckham and Potter. I don't see the room going into next year. Granted one could play in the AHL next year(must clear waivers) and Barker is probably gone. I really hate to move BBC, but I just don't know where he fits anymore. |

Yes. Put Paajarvi and Omark on a line together. Paajarvi looks to be finding his game again and Omark would be eager to try and prove himself again. Try it out for the remainder of the season, if it works, pencil in Omark, if not package him away in the summer. But we need to make a decision on Omark soon or he'll make it himself. |

Between Horc and Hemsky? I'm looking at it if we trade Hemsky and then bring Omark up to take his place that's where I would slot the two of them in, probably with Gagner centering. |

Instead of prospects that won't pan out how about a your 1st this year and 1st next year and you get Hemsky and some sort of pick? - Lahey
No no you're right I am being goofy now. Slow day here at work. The picks actually are a reasonable offer IMO. Not sure if Hemsky sticks around afterwards but I really think he could be the guy to get Krejci going again.

I'd prefer actual players, but I just don't know we get that. Collect picks and deal them at the draft when players are available. |

All good, just being completely theoretical. But I think if we don't give Omark a reasonable shot this year he'll be on a plane back to Sweden very quickly. |

I don't see him taking off that quick. RFA this year and he'll get a one-way deal and if he does get sent to OKC he'll make more than he would in the SEL. Although he'll probably have to clear waivers next year, so he most likely is in the NHL next year anyway. |

Gunnarson plus second for Hemsky? - freelancer
Won't happen.. Leafs have no use for Hemsky, and Gunnar is Injured, and It def wouldnt be Gunnar + |
|
|

NY Post says preliminary talks between NYR and CBJ about Nash have started. That would not happen UNLESS Nash has waived his NMC to go to NYR. Sounded earlier like LA and NYR were the teams in pursuit of Nash. That might mean LA is again gonna lose out, like in the Kovalchuk and Richards sweepstakes. Lombardi needs to do something. Highly unlikely he keeps his job if LA doesn't make the playoffs. |

Gunnar is injured.. thats why there is a call up, nothing to do with a trade. Leafs have no use for anyone that the Oilers would be willing to give up, especially Hemsky |

2 1sts for an oft injured, pass first (only), charmin soft, ufa? I realize they're late firsts but no way I'd do that. Don't know if Krejci/Hemsky would mesh, too much fancy not enough finish. He's talented and I wouldn't be opposed to making a pitch for he and/or Peckham but not the guy you break the bank for IMO, especially when the team is pick poor.
Edit: Oh ... and Smyth over Hemsky every day of the week. |
